Grocery shopping from mobile phone app

We have observed that where a big and organised e-commerce companies were not able to deliver to consumer due to travel restriction amid lockdown, here in the local convenience stores became really convenient and has fulfilled customers requirement and in some case they have home delivered the groceries and essential supplies.

Small local Kirana grocery stores will embrace shop management technologies. Store owners will deploy smart billing systems. They will also deploy a barcoding system and importantly they will also start frequently delivering to the consumers home.

Technology will help stores to automate the billing process to capture order, to schedule the delivery and they will also embrace digital payment methods. Growing number of grocery and local kirana stores will be online, and will enable the customers to order online hence they will start taking online orders.

This is a big opportunity for small medium size grocery stores to go digital to expand customer reach and to automate their operations to automate the order capturing order management customer support customer fulfillment.

It is very evident that food consumption of family members will remain stable and the entire country is in lockdown where many family members are staying home so one of the activities could be trying out new for my cooking home trying out new food items so the demand for ingredients shall be higher adding to demand.

Salute to all medical works, police force, essential service providers.

Stay safe.
